Abstract: Based on an analysis of the wind power and electric vehicle development, it is proposed to regard the battery swap stations as energy storage power stations and use grid dispatch to provide reserve for the power systems containing wind farms. Through prediction of wind power output and the battery swap station’s usable capacity, a new economic dispatch model is proposed in this paper with consideration of wind power and battery swap stations and the model optimization strategies are advanced. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) method is adopted to solve the model. The correctness and effectiveness of the model and algorithm are verified via a case study.

Key words: economic dispatch, electric vehicle, battery swap station, wind power, particle swarm optimization (PSO)
