Abstract: Coal mining subsidence seriously affects the safe operation of the power transmission lines. It is greatly significant to carry out the research on the safety evaluation of high voltage transmission lines in coal mining areas. Taking a mining area as a case, this paper estimates the ground deformation of transmission lines in a mining area based on the theory of mining subsidence. With consideration of different working conditions and load combinations, the anti-deformation capacity of the typical transmission towers is obtained by using the finite element method. On this basis, the safety evaluation of the transmission lines in coal mining areas is conducted and the related treatment schemes are proposed. The research results can provide a reference for the similar projects.
