Abstract: Based on the D5000 integrated data platform, an intelligent AGC initiative coordinated control system is proposed, which is composed of multi-modules. The main program module can, through ultra short-term synchronized forecasting of the distributed load, carry out several functions automatically, including AGC adjustable judgment, start/stop unit screening, real-time output adjustment. The auxiliary module can proceed the pre-conditionings before switching and emergency adjustment after accidents. The intelligent AGC system can automatically optimize and remotely start/stop hydropower units according to the load fluctuation, and automatically optimize the unit output of the whole grid. Besides, the AGC system can assist the dispatchers to perform pre-conditions before the equipment blackout and emergency adjustment after accident trip. The simulation case shows that the system can not only effectively improve the implementation rate of optimal short-term generation scheme and optimize the performance indicators, but also assist the power grid stabilization adjustment and reduce the labor intensity of dispatchers.
