Abstract: Static voltage deviation of wind farm is analysed based on static voltage security. Static safe operation range of wind farmer is proposed in this paper by using linear transformation of power output based on voltage constraints. The safe distance between wind farm operating point and security boundary is defined and voltage forewarning is investigated under steady-state operating conditions. A reactive power optimization method is proposed to improve wind farm static voltage security. The simulation results with DIgSILENT/ Power Factory software show that the proposed static safe operation range has good applicability for wind farms. The proposed method provides methodological support for the safe and stable operation of wind farms, and can be used to realize static voltage forewarning and reactive power optimization.
