Abstract: With the rapid development of wind power in China, it is the most difficult challenges for grid operation organization to increase wind power utilization rate and to improve the safety level of the system. This paper analyzed the international wind power dispatching technology such as Europe and America. The true difficult points of Chinese electrical system for operating large-scale wind power are presented. Moreover, the wind power dispatching optimization technology is studied. Thereafter, the wind power dispatching supporting systems are constructed in the SGCC management range to aid the dispatching decision. The system includes real-time supervision, wind power forecasting, day-ahead schedule, real-time control and heat supply monitoring. The practice in the SGCC management range indicates that all of the methods improve the wind power ratio in the system greatly.
