Abstract: In this paper, the current operation state of the wet slag disposal system of four 300-MW units in a coal-fired power plant of Zhejiang is analyzed, and the study on flushing slag water reduction of the slag disposal system is carried out. The practical results indicate that the formation of calcium carbonate scale can be constrained effectively by adding an appropriate amount of scale inhibitors to the slag water circulating system, and the circulating flushing slag water can be cooled down by using a water cooler. By building the enclosed slag water circulating system, both the make-up and discharged wastewater are greatly reduced, which exhibits significant economic and environmental benefits.
