Abstract: Along with the nitrogen oxide emission restrictions getting more stringent, ultra low emission retrofit will be carried out throughout all domestic coal-fired power plants. Based on the analysis and summary of the quality and operation characteristics of the in-service denitrification catalyst, in order to standardize and enforce the procedures in the catalyst design and procurement, by taking account of the current production status of denitration catalyst, the operation of denitration equipments as well as the test results of denitration catalyst in the recent 3 years, this article presents detailed issues for specific attentions in the design and procurement of the catalyst for the ultra low emission reconstruction in the SCR denitration device of current domestic coal-fired power plants. Especially, the possible problems are analyzed in the design and purchasing technical agreement for extra layer catalyst.

Key words: coal-fired power plant, ultra low emission, denitration catalyst, catalyst design, catalyst procurement
