Study on Technical Standard of Distributed Resources Grid Integration

Abstract: Recently, the rapid growth of distributed resources (DR) has promote the development of standards for DR grid integration. In this paper, the existing DR standards about grid integration in China and abroad were introduced first, and then the representative standards in North America, Europe and China were compared according to power control, grid adaptability, power quality, synchronization, safety and protection, etc. Finally, this paper indicated the main differences between North American, European and Chinese standards, analyzed the development trend of DR grid integration standards in the world and presented reasonable suggestions for the updating of Chinese DR standards. The work in this paper may provide available reference for the development and review of DR grid integration standards in China and enhance the understanding of DR standards for DR developers, as well as equipment manufacturers, so as to promote the development of DR industry in future.
