Abstract: Tianjin IGCC is the first integrated gasification combined cycle plant in China, where the gas turbine burns the lower heating value syngas produced by the gasifier. As the first gas turbine coupled with IGCC technology in China, it has encountered many problems during operation such as the discrepancies between the heat value of syngas and design value, the burner overheating and the uneven burning of the two combustion chambers. To solve these problems, this paper introduces and explains the differences between the IGCC gas turbines and regular gas turbines in the aspects of fuel, combustion method and burner structure. Then, combined with the analysis on the actual operation parameters, the performance optimization plan and corresponding measures are put forward. It is of referential significance for the subsequent development of gas turbine burning low heat value fuel.
