A Unified Data Reading and Communication Method of Independent Transformer Monitoring Devices

Abstract: The existing transformer monitoring and testing devices operate independently without uniform standards, which makes it impossible to share data and to conduct comprehensive diagnosis of transformers based on multiple parameters within the same system. To solve this problem, a unified data reading and communication method is proposed in this paper. A unified communication framework is designed for on-line monitoring device, and the transformation method of private protocol and I0 protocol in smart substation condition monitoring system is proposed. The method of mapping big data and MODBUS register address is proposed, and the method of transforming the data of partial discharge monitoring device from unified XML file format and private file format to this format is put up. The practicability of our method is verified by the experimental results of the on-line and off-line monitoring devices. This method can advance the share application of isolated data of independent monitoring devices, and provide communication and data solution for integrated diagnosis of transformers.
