Research and Application of Lightning Protection and Anti-Interference Technology for Thermal Power Plant Control Systems

Abstract: In this paper, based on the statistical analysis on thermal power plant control system failure cases, the reasons that caused the control system failures due to lightning, grounding, electric and magnetic fields, etc. is analyzed. To deal with the interference problems which cannot be solved effectively by conventional methods, the thermal control system anti-interference program is proposed by using anti-interference protector and non-magnetic measuring sensor. Its software and hardware equipment are also developed successfully. The field application shows that the system can suppress the interference signals effectively. Therefore, the program can be referenced for future’s researches and applications in this field.
