Abstract: The reasons for solar power curtailment of centralized PV station is analyzed from aspects of peak capacity, transport capacity, absorptive capacity and equipment operation. Calculation methods of solar power curtailment based on benchmark PV station and irradiance data restoration are proposed. Calculation is performed on practical operating data by using proposed methods. The application of two algorithms are also described. Finally, measures for promoting PV power consumption and reducing abandoned PV power are presented from aspects of national policy, development planning, dispatching and consumptive market in order to promote a healthy, sustainable and stable development of centralized photovoltaic.

Key words: centralized PV power station, abandoned PV power, benchmark station, irradiance data reduction
