Research on Fuzzy Control of PV Pumping System Based on Switched Reluctance Motor

Abstract: A photovoltaic(PV) pumping system and corresponding control method with fuzzy controlled maximum power point tracing (MPPT) and rotor speed control of 6/4 switched reluctance motor(SRM) is proposed. Based on control strategy of whole system, mathematic model of PV array is analyzed, and mechatronic model of SRM is built. Then simulation model of PV pumping system is built in the MATLAB/Simulink. Simulation and experiment results reveal that proposed algorithm can realize stable tracing of PV array maximum power. Curves of flux linkage and current of each phase show stable SRM operation, which verify the feasibility of proposed PV pumping system and fuzzy controller.
