Abstract: Standards internationalization is important for the development of global energy interconnection. It is a complex problem involving a wide range of technical areas and diversified standardization needs. Based on analysis of technical framework of global energy interconnection and its standards internationalization requirements, the overall strategy and specific deployment methods are studied. The technology framework of global energy interconnection is outlined which contains 4 specialized directions, 13 technical fields and 45 subdomains. According to actual situation of each specialty and technical field, standards internationalization demands are analyzed. Based on current practical basis of technology innovation, engineering construction and standards accumulation, an overall strategy is proposed which promotes internationalization of global energy interconnection standards through 4 ways. Prior technical fields and specific internationalization standards are selected and several specific measures are recommended.

Key words: global energy interconnection (GEI), standard, internationalization, standards internationalization, smart grid, clean energy
