Abstract: Hydropower and wind power of Sichuan Provincial have substantial surplus of electricity quantity and seasonal complementary character. In order to take advantage of clean energy of Sichuan grid and power transmission capability of 4 UHVDC transmission lines in Sichuan system, study of optimizing annual delivery quantity of Sichuan electricity with consideration of hydropower/wind power complementation character is performed. By achieving optimal allocation of Sichuan green clean energy in greater range, economic efficiency of 4 UHVDC transmission lines in Sichuan system can be improved. The result shows that annual utilization hours of 4 UHVDC transmission lines can be increased by 75~280 hours after optimization.
