Practice of CO2 Absorption Process in Natural Gas Power Plant

Abstract: With choice of MEA and ionic liquid as absorbents for CO2 capture of flue gas, practice of chemical absorption process system in natural gas power plant is described. The process parameters, operating results, energy consumption, cost increases and the impact on electricity and heat prices are analyzed and discussed.
