Abstract: The timeliness and accuracy of early warning and the efficiency of emergency disposal have become an important part for the flood control and disaster fighting. In order to monitor the real time water level in the important production areas such as substation, and provide a support for the emergency disposal of disasters, an SCM/4G-based real-time monitoring system for local rainstorm water level in substation is put forward. A number of wireless monitoring nodes are set up in the objective area to collect the water level data, and the data is transmitted to the central server by wireless network while the real-time inquiry and alarm service is available, which can provide a theoretical basis for relevant departments in flood control and disaster fighting. The testing results show that the monitoring system is stable and reliable in water level monitoring results, and can be well applied to the early warning of disasters in important production areas.
