Abstract: A lot of wind farms are usually scarted in areas abundant with wind energy resources and mounted with different kinds of supervisory control and data acquisition(SCADA) systems, which not only makes great difficulties to the wind power production management, but also causes a lot of problems to scheduling and safe operation of power grids. Therefore, an operation monitoring and production management system was developed for regional wind farms. This system realizes the SCADA function with WEB and integrates different data protocols to deal with data from different SCADA systems uniformly, which makes it possible to implement the centralized control and management of the wind farms and lays the foundation for “unattended production” of wind power.

Key words: wind power unit, wind farm monitoring, centralized control, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
