Abstract: In this paper, the analysis on the load control performance and response is conducted in combination with the requirements of automatic generator control (AGC) and primary frequency regulation (PFR) according to the present situation of subcritical units. Through the calculation on the heat accumulation capacity of the heating pipes, the availability of the heat accumulation is gained based on the requirements of AGC and PFR load response and the load response amplitude and lasting time are obtained. Therefore, tests and the analysis on the test data are carried out on the practical heating units, from which the initial study results are concluded.
