Abstract: The steam-driven induced draft fan has the advantages of no starting current, low auxiliary power ratio and efficient adjustment and it is gradually got applied in newly-built units. In this paper, the steam-driven induced draft fan of a new ultra-supercritical unit is taken as the study object. According to the characteristic curves of the fan and the pipeline, the optimal parallel working conditions are analyzed, and the parallel method and the operation strategy for postparallel running are presented. Aiming at the problems of insufficient margin, high exhaust pressure and poor regulation characteristics in the operation of the fan, the cause analysis and the control logic optimization are carried out to ensure the safety and stability of the unit.

Key words: thermal power generation, steam-driven induced draft fan, parallel method, back pressure turbine, control optimization.
