Research on Harmonic Transfer Characteristics of Transformer

Abstract: The harmonic equivalent model of transformer is established base on T type equivalent circuit of transformer with consideration of distributed capacitance effects. Thorough analysis and calculation of its harmonic transfer characteristics are performed. The result shows that in no-load or light load condition, the harmonic is linear transferred in transformer. In other cases harmonic components change significantly across transformer. Matlab software is used to analyze harmonic transfer characteristics of transformer under different load conditions. Experiments performed on actual transformer show consistency with theoretical analysis and simulation results.
