Development and Application of A New Partial Discharge Detection System

Abstract: To solve the problem of difficulty and low efficiency in partial discharge detection, a new system for partial discharge detection is designed and developed. It uses Internet of Things to realize graphical collection at front-end, transmission of wireless ad hoc network and real-time monitoring, while supporting information check at mobile-end. In the laboratory, the GIS device is simulated to test the system's performance. The experimental results show that the system can accurately display the discharge signal and ensure the quality of detection. Meanwhile numerous on-site detections are conducted to analyze the abnormal partial discharge signal so as to improve the efficiency of work.
