Quality Control of Materials and Components for 1 000 kV Transformers and Reactors

Abstract: In order to control the quality of main materials and components which are used for 1 000 kV transformers and reactors, this paper describes the applications of these materials and components such as electromagnetic wire, silicon steel sheet, insulation material and high-voltage bushing and summarizes the typical quality problems that occur during inspection and manufacturing. The pertinent quality control method and technical requirements are proposed, which will effectively avoid the use of materials and components that have quality problems, thus enhancing the quality stability of transformer and reactor.
