Abstract: With the constructions of long-distance and large-capacity Ultra High Voltage(UHV) power grids, the receiving-end grid raises an increased standard for voltage stability. Conventional stationary type compensation device is difficult to adapt the requirements of the grid development. Taking the UHV AC grid and Henan 500 kV power grid as an example, the dynamic VAR configuration of the large receiving-end grid in UHV AC and DC interconnection is analyzed by a comprehensive method, which combined with time-domain simulation, V-Q curve and sensitivity analysis. The proposed method provides comprehensive guidance for the configuration of dynamic reactive device.
