Research on Virtual Reality Technology for Galloping Simulation of Power Transmission Lines

Abstract: Based on the requirements of power transmission line galloping simulation and their practical application, an overall framework of virtual reality reproduction for the galloping simulation of power transmission lines is constructed. A set of functions are developed based on the virtual reality technology, including power transmission line galloping simulation scenarios, nodal movement trajectory virtual reality scenario, whole-process oscillation mode reproduction scenario of galloping, and full nodal amplitude-time history scenario. Corresponding to the simulation system, a group of virtual reality application interfaces are designed and developed for different galloping prevention devices and galloping prevention schemes, which are of good human-computer interaction, simple in operation and easy for using.
