Abstract: Considering the characteristics of site location for urban electric vehicle(EV) charging stations, a two-step locating method is proposed in this paper. In the first step, based on the analysis of the charging demand for various road sections, the planning area is searched by using immune algorithm to find out the candidate sections. In the second step, the comparison between the candidate sites in different candidate sections is performed by taking account of factors such as geographical feature and distribution networks, which are quantified by virtue of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Through comprehensive evaluation the optimal sites can thus be determined.
