Abstract: It is of great importance to determine antioxidant contents in the study of turbine oil antiaging. In this paper, methanol is selected for oil sample extraction. By using gas phase chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS), the method to measure three antioxidants simultaneously and quantitatively in turbine oils, i. e., 2, 6-Di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol(T501), N-Phenylnaphthalen-1-amine (T531) and 4, 4'-dioctylphenylamine (DODA), is established. The accuracy and precision of the method are also studied, and the analysis of the actual samples is carried out. The study results show that the recovery rates of the three antioxidants are between 95.8% and 101.2% with the relative standard deviation less than 1.04%. Particularly, the method is suitable for fast determination of the three antioxidants in turbine oils owing to its ease to use in sample treatment and analysis. The successful development of this method can also provide a new way for the determination of other additives in turbine oils.
