Study on Pricing Policies of Renewable Power Under the Market-Oriented Reform

Abstract: Renewable power has been developing very quickly since 2006 in China. The pricing policy plays a significant role in the process. This paper reviews the policy framework of pricing and cost sharing for renewable power, analyzes the problems and barriers of the existing pricing policies, such as lack of dynamic regulation, shortage of capital, mismatch of rights and responsibility. The State government is carrying out the reform in the electric power system. Pricing policies for renewable power must be innovated to adapt the situation. Several policy recommendations are given in the paper to promote the healthy and sustainable development of renewable power.
