Application of Microwave Relay Technology in Interim Communication of Power Transmission Engineering

Abstract: In order to solve the problem that the OPGW cannot meet the time requirement for joint debugging of protection equipment when being connected to a new substation, a microwave relay telecommunication is proposed, in view of the limitations of various interim communication schemes. Through building up a hybrid communication link by a couple of SDH microwave equipment and existing OPGW, this technology opens a temporary channel to meet the time requirement for joint debugging of protection equipment. The application of this technology in several power transmission engineering projects shows that it can effectively solve the time problem of OPGW connection and joint debugging of equipment and has a broad application prospects.
