Call for Papers on "Key Technologies for Safe and Efficient Operation and Coordinated Control of Active Distribution Network"
  • The development of new power system is pushing the distribution network to transform from traditional passive power supply network to active distribution network. With the rapid development of distributed, energy storage system and large-scale electric vehicles, the structure, characteristics and operation mode of distribution network have changed profoundly. The uncertainty and complexity caused by high proportion of renewable energy, power electronic interface application and multi-energy complementary operation have brought new challenges to the planning, dispatching and safe and stable operation of distribution network.

On the one hand, the output of renewable energy on the source side and the energy demand of load side show significant spatiotem uncertainty and random fluctuation characteristics, which leads to the increased difficulty of power and energy balance of distribution network, and the traditional planning and scheduling methods based on deterministic assumptions are not adapt. On the other hand, the deep coupling of multi-elements of source-grid-load-storage and the difficulty of multi-energy collaborative control and hierarchical and zonal coordination significantly increased. Under the condition of high penetration of power electronic equipment, the system's safe and stable operation faces new risks. In addition, the main bodies participating in the active network are becoming more and more diversified, and there are differences in the interests of the entities operating distributed power supply, energy storage and charging facilities, power users and power grid enterprises The coordination between the power market mechanism and the physical operation control is not yet mature, and the coordination of price signals, incentive mechanisms and system operation constraints needs to be addressed urg. Therefore, it is of great theoretical significance and engineering value to carry out the research on the interaction mechanism, safe and efficient operation and planning key technologies of active distribution network. Based the above background, the editorial department of China Electric Power specially invited Associate Professor Li Ze-ning from Taiyuan University of Technology, Professor Yang Li-jun from Yanshan, Associate Professor Wang Xu from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Lecturer Qian Tao from Southeast University and Lecturer Li Yu-jing from Qingdao University to serve as special editors, and planned the column of “Key Technologies for Safe and Efficient Operation and Coordinated Control of Active Distribution Network”, aiming to gather frontier research results, academic exchanges, and provide theoretical support and technical guidance for the low-carbon, efficient and safe operation of active distribution network. We sincerely welcome experts, scholars, researchers and engineering in related fields to contribute actively.
