On August 27, 2024, the replacement meeting of the Youth Editorial Board of Electric Power was held in Beijing, and the second Youth Editorial Board was officially established. Shan Baoguo, Deputy General Manager (Deputy Dean) and Member of the Party Committee of State Grid Energy Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Chief Editor of the Electric Power , attended the meeting and delivered a speech. 118 young editorial board members from more than 60 well-known universities and research institutions across the country, as well as all the employees of the Electric Power, participated in the meeting.
Shan Baoguo first extended warm congratulations on the establishment of the second Youth Editorial Board of Electric Power and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the young editorial board members for their long-term care, support and efforts made for the development of Electric Power. Shan Baoguo pointed out that in recent years, the comprehensive influence of Electric Power has been continuously increasing, which is inseparable from the hard work of the young editorial board members. The young editorial board members are the main force supporting the innovative development of the journal. It is hoped that all the young editorial board members can give full play to their respective professional advantages, strengthen communication and interaction, and move forward hand in hand with Electric Power.
Fang Tong, Executive Deputy President of the Electric Power, delivered a work report to the conference with the theme of "Concentrating the Mind, Gathering Strength Again, Setting Sail on a New Journey, and Striding towards a First-class Scientific and Technological Journal in the Energy and Power Field". The report comprehensively summarized the achievements of Electric Power in recent years in aspects such as column planning, journal evaluation, academic guidance, and external exchanges. It analyzed the current situation faced by the journal's construction and explained the future development ideas and the next work plan. The conference commended the outstanding young editorial board members of the first session and issued letters of appointment to the young editorial board members of the second session.
During the session of exchange speeches, teachers such as Wang Weiliang, Wang Yufei, Yang Zhifang, Hou Hui, Zhang Yajian, Ma Dazhong, Song Chenhui, Zhang Xuexia, who were representatives of the young editorial board members, introduced their own research directions and the situations of their teams. They also had in-depth discussions on aspects such as academic frontiers, journal promotion, and exchange and cooperation respectively. The young editorial board members present at the meeting actively spoke up and unanimously stated that they would earnestly perform their duties as young editorial board members, stand together with the journal through thick and thin, pool strengths and empower development, and make their own contributions to the scientific and technological development, dissemination, and exchange in the energy and power industry.
Finally, Shan Baoguo made a summary of the meeting. He pointed out that the achievements made in the past could not have been achieved without the support and concern of all the experts, and the future development would rely even more on the collaborative cooperation of all parties. Electric Power will work together with all the young editorial board members and their teams to concentrate efforts in aspects such as ensuring the quality of papers, promoting scientific and technological journals, and transforming the achievements of national key projects. They will jointly plan and publish more excellent achievements, drive the high-quality development of Electric Power, fully support the construction of the national scientific and technological innovation system, and make new and greater contributions to the green and low-carbon transformation of energy and the construction of a new power system.
