Abstract: The air-staged and low NOx combustion technology in a 600 MW tangential firing boiler was researched. The comparison of nitrogen oxide emission concentration before and after the reformation was analyzed. The results show that the NOx emission concentration of boiler was reduced obviously. The NOx emission concentration was reduced about 50% when the unit load was over 350 MW. The results of the operation adjustment test show that the SOFA air flow, auxiliary air damper opening, secondary air box and furnace differential pressure have larger influence on NOx emission.
