Multi-objective integrated voltage regulation strategy for active distribution networks considering voltage regulation resource occupancy rate

Abstract
To address frequent voltage violations and limited dispatchable voltage-regulation resources in active distribution networks with high photovoltaic penetration, this paper proposes a multi-objective coordinated voltage-regulation strategy considering the occupancy rate of voltage-regulation resources. First, the action counts of discrete voltage-regulation resources and the voltage-regulation participation periods of continuous resources are used to characterize resource occupancy, based on which a voltage-regulation resource occupancy rate index is defined. Second, a multi-objective coordinated voltage-regulation model is established by jointly considering voltage deviation, daily active power loss, and resource occupancy rate. Third, to tackle the low computational efficiency of the model containing mixed continuous and discrete variables, a discrete-mapping multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm (MOPSO) is developed to enhance the search efficiency for feasible control schemes. Finally, the proposed method is verified using a modified IEEE 33-bus distribution system. The results show that, compared with Method 1 and Method 2, the proposed method achieves a 100% voltage qualification rate and favorable daily active power loss performance, while reducing the voltage-regulation resource occupancy rate to 41.6%, which is 32.5 and 12.6 percentage points lower, respectively. These results demonstrate that the proposed method can improve the comprehensive utilization efficiency of voltage-regulation resources while maintaining voltage quality and operational economy, thereby preserving sufficient resources for subsequent voltage regulation.
