Abstract:
To address the problems that traditional loop-closing analysis models neglect the load effects and dynamic characteristics of distributed generation (DG) after high-proportion DG integration into distribution networks, resulting in significant calculation errors and operational risks, a transient and steady-state current calculation method for distribution network loop closing considering load equivalent parameters and DG dynamic impedance correction is proposed. First, a feeder load equivalent model is established through an iterative algorithm based on the load equivalence principles. Second, the dynamic response characteristics of inverters under high proportion PV integration are analyzed, and an amplitude limiting correction coefficient is introduced to improve the differential equation model for loop-closing transient inrush current, so as to improve the calculation accuracy of transient and steady-state currents. On this basis, a loop-closing safety verification criterion and active regulation process for distribution networks with DG are developed with consideration of the protection coordination requirements across current segments. Finally, the proposed method's accuracy is validated through PSCAD simulation under various loop-closing scenarios. The results show that the proposed method can significantly reduce the calculation errors, and the loop-closing regulation strategy based on this method can effectively suppress the transient loop-closing inrush currents and ensure the safe implementation of "non-inductive" loop-closing operations in the distribution networks.
