Abstract:
Driven by the dual factors of rising oil and gas extraction costs and the 'dual carbon' targets, the green and low-carbon transformation of oil and gas fields has become an inevitable trend in industry development. Among these, introducing new energy to build a new power system is a key pathway to achieve this transformation. As a typical representative of atmospheric shale gas development, the Nanchuan shale gas field faces development challenges such as low formation pressure coefficients and high electricity consumption costs. Considering the area's rich wind energy resources, a new power system based on decentralized wind-storage integration has been explored. This study first establishes a comprehensive decision-making framework for new energy site selection and capacity configuration based on wind resource assessment, oil/gas field development planning, and grid structure analysis. Subsequently, to address the conflict between the volatility of new energy output and the need for stable load supply, a coordinated power supply architecture integrating new energy, the external grid, and energy storage is designed. A multi-objective dispatch and planning model incorporating source-side, storage-side, load-side factors, and time-of-use electricity pricing is constructed. A dynamic load optimization algorithm is employed to solve for the optimal operational strategy. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the system are validated through pilot project construction and actual operational data. The results indicate that the Shiqiao block of the Nanchuan Shale Gas Field has a wind power density exceeding 150 W/m
2, meeting the D-2 grade wind resource development standard. The selected configuration of a 5 MW doubly-fed induction wind turbine and a 1 MW/2 MW·h electrochemical energy storage system is reasonable. By implementing a consumption scheme where the Pingqiaonan block serves as the primary consumption zone with surplus electricity fed into the grid, combined with a dynamic source-storage coordination mechanism, excellent outcomes were achieved: a 97% wind power consumption rate, 47% green electricity self-supply substitution rate, and 0% wind curtailment rate. During the pilot operation period in August 2025, cumulative power generation reached
1.5165 million kW·h, saving electricity costs of 1.1 million RMB and generating
20000 RMB in revenue from surplus electricity fed into the grid, demonstrating significant economic and environmental benefits. The principles for new energy site selection and configuration, the multi-energy coordinated power supply mode, and the dispatch optimization method proposed in this paper effectively overcome the technical bottlenecks of new energy development in oil and gas fields located in mountainous and hilly regions. It provides replicable and scalable technical solutions and practical experience for similar oil and gas fields to construct new-type power systems and achieve green, low-carbon production.
