Abstract: In order to play the role of the East China Grid in the unified electricity market system of China, and to promote the integration of electricity resources in Yangtze River delta, this paper analyzes the role and function of the East China Grid in the unified electricity market of China. It is pointed out that the inter-province market in East China Grid is an integral part of national inter-province market, and the East China Grid is the most important vehicle for realizing the integration of electricity resources in Yangtze River delta. The experience of the inter-province market in the East China Grid can provide a reference for building the China’ unified electricity market. Finally the path for building the inter-province market in the East China Grid is given.
